The 2026 college football season is officially underway. With Penn State’s roster looking completely different from last year, five former Penn State players have already taken the field for their new teams.

Here’s how Week 0 went for them.

Beau Pribula, Virginia

Former Penn State backup quarterback Beau Pribula was far and away the top transfer portal story from Week 0.

Pribula led the Cavaliers to a dominant 34-8 victory over North Carolina, completing nine-of-11 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the team in rushing yards with 110.

Anthony Ivey, San Jose State

Wide receiver Anthony Ivey hauled in a pair of catches for 34 receiving yards as the Spartans fell to USC, 26-42. During his time at Penn State, Ivey recorded only one 14-yard catch in a game against Kent State in 2024.

King Mack, NC State

King Mack recorded seven tackles, including two solo tackles in NC State’s 8-34 loss to Virginia and Beau Pribula. The former Penn State safety had 58 tackles and an interception as a Nittany Lion in 2025.

Jaylen Harvey, North Carolina

Harvey recovered a fumble after a strip sack to help North Carolina defeat TCU, 15-10, in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland.

The defensive lineman also made five tackles, including two solo. Harvey had 11 tackles and one sack in his two seasons as a Nittany Lion.

Josiah Brown, LIU

Though he never played a snap for Penn State as a freshman, wide receiver Josiah Brown made his LIU debut this weekend and caught two passes for 41 yards.
