On Wednesday, a Centre County judge ordered that the charges against alleged fraternity drug trafficking co-conspirator Thomas Robinson’s father, Paul Robinson, move forward as part of the preliminary hearings.

Robinson was charged with helping conceal evidence related to his son’s charges. He is accused of hiding a safe containing the drugs and cash used in his son’s alleged operation.

Paul Robinson is facing three counts, one third-degree felony and two misdemeanors. The third-degree felony carries a maximum sentence of seven years.

Robinson’s attorney previously said that his client planned to challenge the evidence the state plans to use in the case, according to CBS. He also said in a media scrum outside the courthouse that he was surprised by Grine’s ruling and plans to appeal the decision to move forward with the trail.

The other men who were charged with felonies, including Robinson’s son Thomas Robinson, Mohammed Huraibi, and Robert Zanolla, waived their preliminary hearings earlier Wednesday morning.
