Penn State Football Adding Facial Recognition Ticket Option

Penn State football has added a new optional way to enter Beaver Stadium this season.

Folks going to the Nittany Lions’ 2026 season opener can now opt into a facial authentication express entry ticket that can be used at designated entrance points.

To use the new option, folks will need to log in to their Ticketmaster account, take a selfie, and use gates E or F when entering Beaver Stadium.

Penn State is teaming up with Massachusetts software company Wicket on this endeavor. Wicket claims to protect, encrypt, and store your facial data in a safe location, and will not share or sell your data related to this program with any third parties.

The company also says it does not store photos on the entry devices.

Folks looking to try out the new express entry option can register here. You must be aged 13 or older.
