Your Official Penn State-Marshal Drinking Game

It’s officially the first Penn State football game of the year, folks! It’s not just the first game of the 2026 season; it’s the first game with the new head coach, Matt Campbell.
Whether you’re nervous to see the new-look Nittany Lions or you’re just looking to have a good time, you’re going to need a drink.
Here is our official drinking game for the Penn State-Marshall matchup on September 5.
- Wake up early, start blasting Zombie Nation, and take a shot!
- If it’s weirdly hot out… Take a shot! It’ll be cold soon.
- If this is your first Penn State football game, take a shot!
- Watching from home or a bar? Take a shot!
- Tailgating? Take a shot of water. It’s going to be a long day.
- If you miss former Penn State head coach James Franklin, start chugging water. You can’t be serious.
- Every time someone brings up a recent Penn State scandal… Take a sip of beer. We are talking about you, Pablo Pledgecobar.
- If you go into the stadium and don’t notice a difference in construction, shotgun a beer.
- If you notice the differences, start chugging. I mean, allegedly there are quite a few.
- If an Iowa State transfer gets a touchdown, take a shot.
- Every time Penn State football quarterback Rocco plays better than Drew Allar, take a sip.
- If someone says “this is our year,” take a shot.
- If the Stripe Out doesn’t look right at all… Start chugging water.
- Every time you hear someone complain about the game schedule, take a shot.
- New mic-man! Take a shot.
- If Campbell looks stressed on the sidelines, take a sip of water.
- If you don’t know where Marshall is, take a shot.
- Take a shot if Penn State forces a three-and-out on defense.
- If you decided to go home this weekend, take a sip with your family.
- If you bought a ticket for way too much, take a sip.
- If the Nittany Lions lose, start chugging… There’s no new era.
- If the Nittany Lions win, start chugging your liquor. WE ARE SO BACK!
Have a great weekend and drink responsibly. Welcome to the Campbell era!
