Penn State Football Ranked No. 16 In Week 1 AP Poll

Penn State football has been ranked No. 16 in the Week 1 AP Poll, the Associated Press announced Tuesday. It’s a two-spot move from No. 18 in the preseason poll.
The Nittany Lions beat Marshall 45-0 in their season opener on Saturday.
The Nittany Lions took care of business in convincing fashion over the weekend against the Thundering Herd, something that can’t be said for now-No. 6 Oregon and Michigan.
The Ducks struggled against Boise State in a 34-27 win at home and Michigan; well, that’s a whole other conversation.
Other ranked Big Ten schools include No. 1 Ohio State, No. 5 Indiana, No. 14 USC, and No. 19 Washington. Penn State still has to face USC, Washington, and Michigan.
Penn State hits the road for the first time under Matt Campbell against Temple at noon on Saturday, September 12, at Lincoln Financial Field. Folks not making the trip to Philadelphia can follow along on ESPN2.
