Penn State Men’s Hockey Announces Jersey Numbers For 2026-27 Season
Penn State men’s hockey has announced jersey numbers for its newest additions ahead of the 2026-27 season, revealing the 12 new numbers fans will see on the ice in Hockey Valley this fall.

After earning OHL and CHL Goaltender of the Year honors as a rookie with the Ottawa 67’s, freshman goalie Ryder Fetterolf will wear No. 1.
Vermont transfer Caeden Herrington takes over No. 2 from Carter Schade. The defenseman was a fourth-round pick by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2025 NHL Draft.
No. 6 returns to Penn State’s blue line in freshman Ethan Weber, who led all Penticton Vees defensemen with 51 points last season. Jimmy Dowd Jr. last wore the number in 2024-25.
Fellow defenseman Charlie Michaud will wear No. 8, previously worn by Alex Servagno last season.
Kaden Pitre, a 2024 Tampa Bay Lightning sixth-round pick, will wear No. 17. The number was previously assigned to Nic-Chin DeGraves in 2024-25 before he switched to No. 71 for the 2025-26 season.
Freshman forward Kale Dach will don No. 22, last worn by Jason Gallucci in 2024-25. Dach scored 75 points with the Calgary Hitmen last season, earning a spot among the finalists for WHL Rookie of the Year.
Marco Mignosa will skate in No. 26. The freshman forward was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh round of the 2025 NHL Draft.
In net, Crew Petty takes over No. 35 from Kevin Reidler.
Four players will introduce new numbers never previously worn in Penn State men’s hockey history, beginning with Shea Busch at No. 74. Busch arrives after helping the Everett Silvertips capture their first WHL championship, scoring a hat trick in the title-clinching win over the Prince Albert Raiders.
Maine transfer Justin Porier will wear No. 89. The forward led the Black Bears in scoring as a freshman last season despite missing the final eight games with injury.
Andrew Kuzma returns to the roster with No. 91 after being assigned No. 11 on Penn State’s 2024-25 roster. He missed the entire 2024-25 season after undergoing heart surgery, then left to play in the OHL with the Kingston Frontenacs for the 2025-26 season.
Justin Larose rounds out the group at No. 96, passing Shea Van Olm’s No. 93 as the highest number in program history.
Penn State opens its season against UConn in Storrs, Connecticut, at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 9, as part of the Ice Breaker Tournament.
