Penn State Football Names Team Captains Against Temple

Penn State football named quarterback Rocco Becht, offensive lineman Anthony Donkoh, linebacker Kooper Ebel, and defensive tackle Siale Taupaki as team captains for the program’s game against Temple, the team announced Saturday morning.

Becht, Donkoh, and Ebel are on the list once more after getting a Week 1 captaincy nod alongside long snapper Blaise Sokach-Minnick. Becht tossed 13-for-18 passes for 271 yards and four touchdowns in his Penn State debut. Ebel recorded three tackles and one pass breakup against Marshall.

Penn State’s addition to Week 2 is Taupaki, who went viral through the week for his emotional press conference on Wednesday highlighting his family’s financial struggles throughout his life. He tabbed one tackle in the first game of his eighth college football season against the Thundering Herd.

Penn State and Temple kick off at noon on ESPN2 from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
