Harvest season is upon us, folks.

Penn State’s Student Farm Club will host its 11th annual Harvest Festival on Thursday, September 17, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The festival will take place on the Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm, featuring fresh foods, crafts, and Penn State’s own student farmers.

Local chefs will circle the event with food samples throughout the evening from places such as Taproot Kitchen, State College Area High School, Paul’s Provisions, and Housing and Food Services at Penn State.

Penn State students can plant their own succulent for free ($5 for other guests), make sun prints, or hang out by the petting zoo. The event will include more than 20 other activity stations, free and open to the public.

Harvest Festival 2026 will also feature cooking demonstrations by chef Lorinda John for the first time, following her visit to campus last year.

Free buses will run to and from the Berkey Creamery and the farm, given the event’s limited parking.
