Penn State Holding Voter Registration & Constitution Day Events

If you enjoy participating in democracy or consider yourself a Constitution buff, there’s an event for you at the HUB this week.
Penn State is set to host Constitution Day and Voter Registration Day events on September 15 and 17, featuring free food, games, and the chance to register to vote.
Events will be held across Penn State’s campuses. Take a look at the events Penn State will offer at University Park.
Tuesday, September 15: National Voter Registration Day
On National Voter Registration Day, Penn State Votes will celebrate with a voter registration station between the HUB TV lounge and the top of the grand staircase. The organization will have giveaways, activities, and cookies for those who register.
Folks can enjoy the festivities whether they are already registered to vote or register at the event. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday, September 17: Constitution Day
On Thursday, September 17, Penn State will celebrate Constitution Day, honoring 239 years since the U.S. Constitution was originally signed in 1787, with the Civic Engagement Alliance Engage and Empower Expo.
The expo will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the HUB and will feature games, cookies, and fireside chats with student leaders and civic experts.
Organization members will also have free pocket constitutions to hand out, and there will be opportunities to register to vote.
Both events give Penn State students a chance to learn more about their rights and responsibilities as U.S. citizens, promoting the values of citizenship and democracy that are integral to our nation.
