Your Official Penn State-Buffalo Drinking Game

Welcome back, folks!

After a win against Temple, the Nittany Lions return to Beaver Stadium on Saturday for the final non-conference game of the 2026 season.

Whether you’re watching from bed, watching from the stands, or not watching at all, it’s officially time to start drinking.

Here is our official drinking game for the Penn State-Buffalo matchup on September 19.

  • Good morning! It’s an early game, so let’s start up with an espresso martini and press play on Zombie Nation!
  • If you’re up and already tailgating, take a shot!
  • If you’re watching from home, take a shot!
  • If you’re in State College and excited about the team being back, take a sip!
  • Every time someone says “We Are,” take a sip.
  • If someone asks where Buffalo is, take a shot.
  • It’s the Penn State THON game, so start drinking water!
  • If you’re ready to see Rocco Becht destroy this team, take a shot.
  • If you hear people complain that Matt Campbell didn’t announce himself in the video, take a shot.
  • If Buffalo’s quarterback sucks, take a shot.
    • If someone blames it on Buffalo’s starting quarterback being hurt, take a sip.
  • If the stands look empty … Take a sip.
  • If you’re sick of noon games, take a shot.
  • Tony Rojas playing well? Take a shot!
  • “Hey Michael,” if you’re happy James Franklin is gone, take a shot.
    • Take another if your name is Michael.
  • Becht throws a touchdown? Cheers to that.
  • Someone says, “I forgot this was a THON game.” Take a sip of water.
  • Still tailgating after halftime? Take a shot.
  • Penn State shuts Buffalo out? Start chugging and celebrate.
    • Penn State loses? Finish a water.

As always, folks, have fun and drink responsibly.
