Penn State Football Safety Marcus Neal Jr. Named To PFF National Team Of The Week
Penn State football safety Marcus Neal Jr. has been named to the PFF National Team of the Week, the sports analytics company announced Sunday.
The Iowa State transfer registered two tackles, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery on Saturday against Buffalo.

Neal recovered his own forced fumble on Buffalo running back Nino Hill in the third quarter. Penn State cashed in on the turnover via a James Peoples touchdown.
Neal forced only two fumbles in his entire college career before his performance in Week 3.
Neal has comfortably latched onto one starting safety spot. The second spot has split a lot of run between Jamison Patton and Jeremiah Cooper as the latter gets back to full health.
The junior has played an integral role in Penn State’s elite pass defense through three games, and he’s only going to get better and better.
Other Big Ten defenders to make PFF’s National Team of the Week include Northwestern edge Michael Kilbane, UCLA linebacker Sammy Omosigho, Ohio State linebacker Riley Pettijohn, Minnesota cornerback John Nestor, and Wisconsin safety Matthew Jung.
