Week 3 of the college football season is in the books, folks, with Penn State moving to 3-0.

A 55-13 win over the Buffalo Bulls at Beaver Stadium kept Matt Campbell and the Nittany Lions undefeated. Dominant performances from Marcus Neal Jr., Koby Howard, and all four running backs see Penn State high in confidence heading into Big Ten play.

However, Happy Valley wasn’t the only place the Nittany Lions were notching dominant games. Multiple former players showed out around the country.

Here’s how some Penn State transfers performed in Week 3.

Ethan Grunkemeyer, Virginia Tech

In what might have been the best game of his three-year career, Ethan Grunkemeyer threw for 314 yards and 3 touchdowns on nearly an 80% completion percentage while adding a score on the ground.

Virginia Tech took down Maryland 35-26.

Beau Pribula, Virginia

Despite the loss to West Virginia, Beau Pribula put up solid stats through the air, recording 197 yards and two touchdowns, with no turnovers.

Pribula was once again shut down on the ground, recording negative one yard on eight carries.

Luke Reynolds, Virginia Tech

Luke Reynolds recorded his third straight touchdown in the Hokies’ win over Maryland. He added a career-high 12 catches and 107 yards.

Andrew Olesh, Oregon

The sophomore tight end recorded his first career touchdown in Oregon’s 84-0 thrashing of Portland State.

Elliot Washington II, Clemson

In what was a 14-point comeback win for the Tigers, Elliot Washington II sealed the game by intercepting UNC’s Billy Edwards Jr. with 32 seconds left.

He also had three tackles in Clemson’s 28-20 victory.

Xavier Gilliam & Amare Campbell, Tennessee

Both players put up nearly identical stats as the Volunteers defeated Kennesaw State 42-9.

Xavier Gilliam finished with four tackles, while Amare Campbell picked up three.

Jaxon Smolik, Temple

After falling to the Nittany Lions in Week 2, the Owls elected to give quarterback Ajani Sheppard full-time quarterbacking duties.

Jaxon Smolik threw just one pass in Temple’s 49-48 overtime loss to Toledo.

Joey Schlaffer, Temple

While it may not have come from Smolik, Joey Schlaffer recorded his first catch and touchdown of the season in the first quarter to give Temple a 10-7 lead.

Jaylen Harvey, North Carolina

In addition to his two tackles, the sophomore defensive end recovered a first-quarter fumble.

This, along with Washington’s interception, accounted for two of the four turnovers in this ACC battle.

Jabree Coleman, South Carolina

In a quieter day on the ground, Jabree Coleman got just four carries for 18 yards. Coleman continues to get second-string reps behind Matt Fuller.

Keon Wylie, Virginia Tech

The Philadelphia native tied for the most tackles on the Hokie defense against Maryland, recording six tackles and an assisted tackle for loss.

Overall, this was a tame week for the Nittany Lions production.

Kolin Dinkins, Temple

Kolin Dinkins, who made headlines for his late hit on Rocco Becht in Week 2, failed to get on the stat sheet for Temple this past Saturday.

Dejuan Lane, Tennessee

Dejuan Lane couldn’t find the end zone as he did with his pick-six versus Georgia Tech last week, but still got a tackle in Tennessee’s win.

Cortez Harris, Virginia Tech

After piling on to Virginia Tech’s dominant defensive performance with two sacks in Week 2, Cortez Harris managed just one tackle against Maryland.

Aaron Enterline, Towson

Despite Towson’s 0-4 record, Aaron Enterline has shown out. Most recently, a two-touchdown performance versus Morgan State.

He added seven catches for 92 yards. Enterline has now found the end zone in each of the first four games of the season.
