Nittany Lion Legend LaVar Arrington Brings Trademark Energy To Roar Tour Lineup
Registrations continue to roll in for this year’s Roar Tour lineup, the premier lineup of football events hosted by the Penn State Alumni Association.
These events, most of which happen at away games, are high-energy gatherings where alumni can connect, celebrate, share their Penn State pride, and experience the excitement of game day together.
This year’s Roar Tour—including a special Pregame at Hintz event on White Out Weekend—will be even more exciting because the Alumni Association is teaming up with Penn State football legend and two-time All-American linebacker LaVar Arrington.
Arrington will bring extra energy, insight, and Nittany Lion pride to the Roar Tour, sharing his game-day perspective, connecting with fellow Penn Staters, and helping fans get ready for kickoff. As an added bonus of this partnership, Alumni Association members can attend Arrington’s home-game tailgate—Stix City—for a discount. More details are available on the Alumni Association website.

Headlining the remaining lineup is Pregame at Hintz, the perfect way to kick off White Out Weekend. There is limited capacity for this home-game Roar Tour event, which is expected to sell out.
Penn Staters are invited to join Arrington and enjoy offerings from the Central PA Tasting Trail, local food favorites, appearances by the Penn State cheerleaders and the Nittany Lion, and a VIP lanyard and commemorative pin.

Washington Sailgate | Saturday, Nov. 7
For our first-ever Penn State Sailgate, Nittany Lions fans will cruise aboard the Spirit of Seattle before Penn State battles Washington, in a truly unique celebration featuring performances from the Pep Band Trumpet Line, Penn State cheerleaders and Nittany Lion. The Washington Sailgate has sold out, though you can join us for the Welcome Party the night before at Tom’s Watch Bar. Registration is free.
Maryland Pep Rally | Saturday, Nov. 28
Join fellow Nittany Lions in College Park before Penn State takes on Maryland. Hear the Pep Band, enjoy performances by the Penn State cheerleaders and Nittany Lion, pick up a VIP lanyard and commemorative pin, and celebrate alongside alumni and fans before kickoff. Registration is free but required.
Away Game Welcome Parties
Roar Tour Welcome Parties bring Penn Staters together the night before kickoff for camaraderie, traditions, and plenty of Blue and White spirit. Registration is free, and fans are encouraged to sign up in advance.
*LaVar Arrington is not scheduled for the Michigan Welcome Party, though we’ll have another special guest ready to bring the blue and white energy. Stay tuned!
