THON announced its 2027 theme, “Where Our Imagination Shines,” at the 2026 Homecoming Parade Friday evening.

The executive committee shared its collective vision behind the theme in a press release.

“THON is a place where kids can be kids. We imagine a world where one day no parent has to hear the words, ‘your child has cancer.’ A world where we are dancing in celebration of a cure. The THON community comes together year after year, sharing this collective vision. And with that imagination carrying us forward, we are proud to share that the theme for THON 2027 is ‘Where Our Imagination Shines.'”

THON Weekend 2027 will run from Friday, February 19, to Sunday, February 21.

THON began in 1973, with Four Diamonds becoming its sole beneficiary in 1977. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the partnership, which has raised more than $273 million for Four Diamonds. THON 2026 alone raised $18,841,726.53.
