CATA Announces Temporary Stop Closure Due To Roadwork
The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) recently announced an important route change due to PennDOT construction.
The bus stop on West College Ave. at South Allen Street is expected to be closed from Monday, September 28, until Thursday, October 1, while crews replace the pavement at the stop.
“After several years of wear and tear, the pavement at the College & Allen bus stop is in critical need of repair, and we appreciate PennDOT scheduling the repair work,” CATA CEO Todd Horsley said in a Thursday press release,
CATA encourages all riders to use the following alternative stops during the closure:
- Pattee Transit Center Eastbound and Westbound
- Riders using the CC, NV, RP, or UP routes may use the stop at East College Ave. at Atherton Hall
- Riders using the AC route are encouraged to either use the stop at Beaver Ave. at Schlow Library/CATA Office or the Walker Building stop
