Penn State Men’s Hockey Releases 2026-27 Promotional Game Schedule

Penn State men’s hockey has released its 2026-27 promotional game schedule, announcing six different themes spread throughout the season.

The first promotional game is the home opener on October 16 at the Pegula Ice Arena against Quinnipiac. The theme is listed as Pegula Palooza.

This has historically been an interactive student event where fans participate in games, activities, and giveaways before the game to build team and school spirit.

Following Pegula Palooza is the annual Teddy Bear Toss game on November 7 against Notre Dame. This gives fans the chance to bring a teddy bear to the game and throw it on the ice during intermission.

All thrown bears are collected and donated in support of Penn State’s student-run philanthropy organization, THON.

Later on in November is the Salute to Service game against Princeton, followed by Senior Celly Night on December 12 versus Army.

Capping off 2026 is the Gad’s Rockin New Year’s Eve game against Niagara, which fittingly comes on December 31 at the Pegula Arena.

The final promotional game is January 22, 2027, against Wisconsin in the Wear White game.

Penn State has once again cut down on the number of promotional games, which was 10 in 2024-25 and seven in 2025-26.
