Two Penn State men’s lacrosse players were selected in the 2026 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Draft on Friday.

Defenseman Owen Tasse was selected with the No. 11 pick by the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. Tasse, a graduate transfer from St. Bonaventure, appeared in 16 games and made two starts last season.

He also led the team with 16 caused turnovers while recording 27 ground balls, as well as setting a new program record for the Bonnies with six caused turnovers.

NLL rules allow teams to draft players who plan to return for a fifth season in college and retain their rights, so Tasse will still make his debut in the blue and white this spring.

Defenseman Alex Ross was selected with the No. 51 pick in the fourth round by the Calgary Roughnecks.

Ross, who also plays for the New York Atlas in the Premier Lacrosse League in the summer, appeared in 16 games for the Nittany Lions this past year, scoring two goals while causing 23 turnovers, the most on the team.

Ross was named a consensus All-American for his outstanding senior season and previously earned Second-Team All-Big Ten honors as a junior.
