Former Penn State Football Defensive Lineman PJ Mustipher Signs With New York Giants’ Practice Squad
Another Nittany Lion joins a practice squad.
Former Penn State football defensive lineman PJ Mustipher has signed with the New York Giants practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.
Mustipher was a free agent at the start of the season after the Denver Broncos waived him. The Giants worked him out before the signing as the NFL side continues to build interior defensive line depth.
In 2025, Mustipher played 15 games for the Arizona Cardinals, recording 32 tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended.
Mustipher played five seasons with the Nittany Lions before heading to the NFL. In his true freshman season in 2019, he was one of only 16 true freshmen to make their collegiate debuts. That season, he played in 12 games and recorded 14 tackles and a forced fumble.
Mustipher ended his career in Happy Valley with 145 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, three sacks, and two forced fumbles.
