Transfer Portal Roundup: Week 4

Week 4 of the college football season is in the books, and Penn State’s undefeated start has ended.

The Nittany Lions suffered their first loss of the Matt Campbell era Saturday, falling 24-20 to Wisconsin at Beaver Stadium on Homecoming weekend. Penn State led by 17 points at one point.

While things didn’t go Penn State’s way in Happy Valley, plenty of former Penn State players were in action around the country.

Here is how Penn State’s transfer departures performed in Week 4.

Beau Pribula, Virginia

Beau Pribula had one of the best games of his career. He completed 24-of-28 passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns.

Pribula also rushed for 24 yards and another score, making it five total touchdowns in Virginia’s 42-3 win over Delaware.

Ethan Grunkemeyer, Virginia Tech

Ethan Grunkemeyer helped Virginia Tech remain unbeaten.

He completed 22-of-35 passes for 147 yards and one touchdown without throwing an interception. The Hokies came from behind to beat Boston College 21-14 and move to 4-0.

Cortez Harris, Virginia Tech

Cortez Harris had another big game for the Hokies.

He was all over the Eagles’ backfield, recording two sacks, three tackles, two tackles for loss, and two quarterback hurries against Boston College.

Harris has quickly become one of Virginia Tech’s top pass rushers on their defensive line.

Luke Reynolds, Virginia Tech

After two straight 100-yard games, Luke Reynolds was mostly silent in Boston this week.

The Hokies’ tight end finished with five catches for 15 yards and added a 3-yard rush.

Mylachi Williams, Virginia Tech

Mylachi Williams recorded a tackle, one tackle for loss, and two quarterback hurries in Virginia Tech’s win over Boston College.

Keon Wylie, Virginia Tech

The linebacker continues to see regular action on defense.

Penn State’s leading tackler last year saw action against the No. 1 team in the country. Amare Campbell recorded one sack and five tackles against Texas.

Tennessee ultimately fell to Texas, 20-17.

Xavier Gilliam, Tennessee

Xavier Gilliam was a problem for Texas.

Gilliam recorded four tackles, one sack, and two tackles for loss in the Volunteers’ hard-to-stomach loss. He also had a quarterback hurry.

Dejuan Lane, Tennessee

Dejuan Lane had a role as a rotational cornerback for Tennessee, racking up three tackles. Lane continues to get involved with the Volunteers’ defense.

Kolin Dinkins, Temple

Kolin Dinkins did get some game time for the Owls. He recorded just one tackle in the loss to Army.

Zuriah Fisher, USC

Defensive tackle Zuriah Fisher recorded two tackles in the Trojans’ loss to Oregon.

Kaden Saunders, Southern Miss

Kaden Saunders saw some game action for Southern Miss. The former four-star receiver hauled in two passes for 17 yards against Tulane.

Southern Miss lost 24-21 after taking a 21-14 lead into the fourth quarter.

Aaron Enterline, Towson

Aaron Enterline continues to be one of the most productive former Penn State players.

He hauled in five catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns in FCS Towson’s 33-28 loss to Delaware State.

Enterline has now found the end zone in all four games this season.

T.J. Shanahan Jr., Florida

T.J. Shanahan Jr. was in the starting lineup this weekend for the Gators in their 52-28 win over Ole Miss, helping a ground game that recorded a staggering 302 rushing yards.

King Mack, NC State

King Mack saw action for the Wolfpack, recording just one tackle in the team’s win over Appalachian State.

DaKaari Nelson, NC State

DaKaari Nelson put together a productive night for NC State, recording three tackles and a tackle for loss.

He also added a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry in a 41-31 win over Appalachian State.

Elliot Washington II, Clemson

Elliot Washington II continues to make plays for the Clemson defense. Washington picked off two passes in the Tigers’ 24-10 win over Cal.

It marked his second straight game with an interception.

He helped the Tigers beat North Carolina in Week 3 with the game-sealing pick.

Jabree Coleman, South Carolina

Jabree Coleman made the most of his limited opportunities in the team’s beatdown 49-18 loss to No. 7 Alabama.

The running back carried the ball only three times for 20 yards. His longest run went for 11 yards.
