Penn State Football Names Team Captains Against Northwestern

Penn State football named quarterback Rocco Becht, offensive lineman Anthony Donkoh, linebacker Kooper Ebel, and defensive lineman Siale Taupaki as team captains for its game against Northwestern at New Ryan Field, the team announced Friday afternoon.

Becht will look to rebound after one of the worst performances of his career, a 12-for-29 showing against Wisconsin that included an interception and no passing touchdowns. Ebel led the team in tackles last week, recording eight total and three solo. Taupaki recorded two tackles of his own.

The quartet previously served as captains for Penn State’s Week 2 victory over Temple. The group boasts 19 years of combined college football playing experience.

Penn State and Northwestern will kick off at 8 p.m. on FOX.
