Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Announces 2026-27 Team Captains

Aye, aye, Captain.

Penn State men’s lacrosse has named Kyle Lehman, Brendan Leary, Patrick Keenan, and Michael Faraone as team captains for the 2026-27 season.

Lehman is a senior attackman who has started for the Nittany Lions since his freshman season. Over the past three seasons, he’s scored 67 goals and added 28 assists in 43 games.

Last year he had a career-high 27 goals and 11 assists, starting all 16 games he played in.

Leary is another senior but plays on the defensive side. The short-stick defensive midfielder appeared in all 16 games for Penn State last season.

He has seven points and 47 ground balls in his career.

Staying on the defensive side, Patrick Keenan was the only non-senior named captain. Keenan was in the same recruiting class as Leary and Lehman but redshirted his freshman season.

Keenan plays mainly close defense but recorded an assist in 2025-26.

Faraone rounds out the 2026-27 team captains as the only true midfielder on the list. Faraone is the oldest captain, listed as a redshirt senior, after he missed the entirety of the 2023-24 season with an injury.

In 24 games played for the Nittany Lions, Faraone has 23 goals and nine assists.
