Penn State Women’s Volleyball Drops To No. 18 In AVCA Poll

Penn State women’s volleyball dropped two spots to No. 18 in the latest AVCA Poll, the association announced Monday.

Penn State faced No. 1 Nebraska on Thursday in a highly-anticipated match in Rec Hall and lost 3-0 behind Kennedy Martin’s 18 kills, Whitney Lauenstein’s 13 kills, and Alexis Stucky’s 33 assists.

The Nittany Lions then faced the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday and won 3-1 after dropping the first set. The Nittany Lions were powered yet again by Martin, who led with 24 kills, four service aces, and three blocks.

No. 16 Penn State is back in action Friday against the Northwestern Wildcats in Rec Hall at 7:30 p.m.
