Transfer Portal Roundup: Week 5

Week 5 of the college football season is over and Penn State’s season continues to slide after its second straight loss.
Although the Nittany Lions may not be where they hoped to be heading into the White Out game, many former Penn State players took the field for other schools across the country.
Here is how Penn State’s transfer departures performed in Week 5.
Ethan Grunkemeyer, Virginia Tech
Ethan Grunkemeyer put up big numbers again for former Penn State head coach James Franklin and Virginia Tech against Pitt.
Unfortunately for the Hokies, Grunkemeyer’s 434 yards and three touchdowns were not enough as they fell 35-33 to the Panthers.
Grunkemeyer also threw two interceptions.
Beau Pribula, Virginia
Beau Pribula became the second former Penn State quarterback to lose this week after Virginia lost to Florida State 38-7.
Pribula completed 14-of-32 passes for 168 yards and the Cavaliers’ only touchdown.
Luke Reynolds, Virginia Tech
Back in Blacksburg, Virginia, Luke Reynolds bounced back after doing little against Boston College in Week 4.

Unfortunately for Coleman, his team couldn’t hang on, and South Carolina lost 35-34 in overtime after holding as much as a 17-point lead.
