Penn State Football Still Favored Against USC In White Out

Well, folks, the tide is starting to turn … the wrong way.
Penn State football attempted to right the ship against Northwestern after a 24-20 upset loss to Wisconsin. But that game went even worse for the Nittany Lions, who fell 34-13 in ugly fashion.
This time, Penn State will try to get back in the win column against No. 19 USC during the highly anticipated White Out game on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
The Trojans are 5-1 this season after a 25-21 win over Washington. A week prior, the team suffered a 41-27 loss to then-No. 20 Oregon.
The Nittany Lions are favored in Saturday’s game, with moneyline odds of -122, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The spread, which favored USC earlier in the week by 1.5 points, now leans toward Penn State at -1.5 with -112 odds.
Bettors have favored USC with 71% on the Trojans moneyline and 54% on USC to cover +1.5 points.
The over/under is set at 54.5, with an even 50-50 split among bettors.
The Trojans’ win over Washington on Saturday was not promising. USC trailed 21-10 in the third quarter and entered the fourth up by only a point. The Trojans’ field goal was their only points in the final frame.
USC fans chanted for head coach Lincoln Riley to be fired throughout the game — something Penn State fans are all too familiar with.
Against Northwestern, the Nittany Lions allowed 413 yards on the ground, though only 93 through the air. USC’s King Miller will try to take advantage of that, as the back has averaged 5.2 yards per carry and totaled 493 yards through six games.
The Nittany Lions’ national championship odds have surprisingly risen to +100000 from +120000 the week prior. USC sits just outside the top squads with +10500 odds to win it all this season.
