Penn State Men’s Hockey To Play Robert Morris At PPG Paints Arena February 7

Hockey season is back, folks, and with that comes some exciting opportunities for Penn State men’s hockey.

The Nittany Lions are set to play at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh against Robert Morris at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, Robert Morris Athletics announced Monday afternoon. PPG Paints Arena is the home rink of the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.

The game will take place during the NHL’s all-star break, meaning that the Nittany Lions will be able to showcase college hockey on a larger-than-usual stage come February.

The two teams faced off 12 different times between 2012 and 2020. The Nittany Lions won eight of those matchups. The most recent matchup ended in a 6-2 Penn State win on January 11, 2020.

Tickets for the game are set to go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on October 16. All sales will go through PPG Paints Arena.
