Penn State Football Linebacker Cam Smith Questionable Against Michigan On Wednesday Availability Report

Penn State football linebacker Cam Smith and kicker Cristiano Rosa are questionable for Saturday’s game against Michigan, per the Big Ten’s Wednesday availability report.
Smith, who missed the Temple game and all three of Penn State’s opening Big Ten contests, is expected to play a much bigger role in an increasingly thin linebacker room.
Matt Campbell confirmed Alex Tatsch is out for the season Wednesday.
“Cam Smith’s practiced the last two days, and again was one of the guys coming out of fall camp that I don’t know if we would have been any more impressed with where he was at, so I do think that’s a positive right now,” Campbell said Wednesday.
Smith tabbed four assisted tackles in the season opener against Marshall.
Rosa, Penn State’s kickoff specialist, has missed the last two games.
Some key contributors for Penn State are listed as probable after seemingly getting a little banged up against USC in the White Out.
Freshman standout cornerback Josiah Zayas, defensive end Yvan Kemajou, running back Carson Hansen, and defensive tackle Armstrong Nnodim are expected to suit up against the Wolverines.
Zayas has been one of the rare team-wide bright spots, tallying 13 total tackles, two tackles-for-loss, one fumble recovery, and a pick-six against Wisconsin.
Players out in the Big Ten date include wide receiver Koby Howard, defensive ends Lavar Arrington II, Max Granville, Mason Robinson, and Dayshaun Burnett, cornerbacks Joshua Johnson, Christian Askew, and Tyler Armstead, linebacker Tatsch, offensive lineman Will Tompkins, tight end Cooper Alexander, and defensive tackle Liam Andrews.
Campbell said Howard’s return is a “post-bye week conversation.” He also hinted that Arrington could return after the bye week.
