Penn State Women’s Soccer Ranked No. 23 In United Soccer Coaches Poll

Penn State women’s soccer is ranked No. 23 in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, the association announced Tuesday.

It is the Nittany Lions’ first appearance in the poll since August, where they earned the same ranking of No. 23 before dropping out of the top 25 entirely.

The appearance in the rankings comes off the heels of an upset against No. 5 Michigan State on October 22, in which Penn State won 2-1. Penn State then tied Michigan 2-2 to cap off an unbeaten week.

The win over Michigan State clinched the Nittany Lions a spot in the Big Ten Tournament in November. Their final regular-season game is on Friday, October 30, against Indiana.
