Penn State Ranked 52nd Among Worldwide Universities

Penn State is the 52nd best global university, according to U.S. News and World Report. This is the inaugural year of the “Best Global Universities” list, which features the top 500 institutions in 49 different countries.

WPSU To Host Congressional Debate

This evening The Race for the 5th Live Debate between candidates Glenn Thompson and Kerith Strano Taylor at Innovation Park gives voters the chance to actively engage in the issues that concern Centre County and the surrounding areas. ‘PSU Matchmaker’ Helps Students Find Love on TV

PSU Matchmaker, inspired by Bravo’s hit series “The Millionaire Matchmaker”, premieres on PSNtv's Youtube channel this weekend. The series features a bachelor or bachelorette who is set up on three blind dates. The production crew films each encounter as well as the participants’ reactions to each other in a separate interview. The bachelor then chooses which of the three bachelorettes he would like to see for a second date off the air.

Penn State To Close Controversial Confucius Institute

Following in the footsteps of the University of Chicago, Penn State decided it will not continue to host a Confucius Institute for Chinese studies after Dec. 2014. The controversial program will close due to differing goals between Penn State's College of Liberal Arts and the Hanban, an affiliate of the Chinese Ministry of Education and division that oversees the institute.
