It's midterm election season and polls across America will be open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. tomorrow for voters to decide the fate of the Senate, the House of Representatives, and many other state and local elections.
The Blue & White Society's annual Rally in the Valley will be held tonight in Rec Hall following the Penn State women's volleyball game. Join the Lionettes, cheerleaders and the Blue Band for a night full of Penn State Football pride! Coach Paterno will also be there, joined by members of the football team, to give a motivational speech to those in attendance.
After a successful Homecoming 2010, which thankfully did not include snow, Homecoming 2011 started yesterday with the announcement of the new Executive Director. Leah Matusow will lead the next Executive Committee through the year-long process of planning one of Penn State's proudest traditions.
Hundreds of student volunteers are headed out near and far this weekend for the first canning weekend of the THON 2011 season.
Cans and signs are provided by the Rules and Regulations Committee for canners to hold while standing at intersections and in front of stores.
The Lion Ambassadors will host their annual Lantern Tours this evening from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. starting at Old Main. Don't miss this chance to cross a Penn State staple off your bucket list!
Lantern Tours should last approximately 45 minutes and will take you through an interactive view of Penn State's history as Lion Ambassadors bring to life characters such as George Atherton, Charles Schwab, Milton Eisenhower, and Evan Pugh. Free food will be provided as well as entertainment from a capella group Blue in the FACE, RAM Squad, and Whiplash Dance Team.
The HUB will be closed from 10 p.m. Sunday night until 6 a.m. Monday morning for electrical repairs.
