Thanksgiving is pretty much the best holiday of the year. You get off school, have time to hang out with your friends and family, and can nurture your very own food baby with no passing judgment from others. That’s why it is such a tragedy Thanksgiving is overshadowed by Christmas practically every single year. Its never even had its own celebratory holiday song -- until now. But when I wished for a Thanksgiving theme song, this wasn’t what I had in mind.
After months of anticipation, and almost an exact year after their original opening date, Trader Joe’s finally opened in State College. This small specialty store is located in the aptly named “Trader Joe’s Plaza” right off of North Atherton street, their only competition so far being a Pier 1 next door.
Townies. They walk among us. They have cars on campus and do laundry for free at their parents house. Most of the time townies look like regular people, however, this is due to years of vigorous training in hopes of blending in with the rest of the student population. If you know or (God forbid) are a townie, you probably already know that there are certain things outsiders just don't get. Here are a few attributes that makes us townies different from the majority of Penn State students.

I love bubble tea. I think it has something to do with my inner child delighting in devouring food that grosses other people out. Or maybe I just like drinking neon colored liquid that looks like it shouldn’t be ingested by anything—especially a person. Bubble tea just seems to be one of those things you either love with a passion or hate with the fiery vengeance of a thousand suns. Personally, I am a huge fan of bubble tea and it’s delightful chunkiness, so you can imagine I the joy I felt when I heard that State College was getting it’s very own bubble tea shop: Tea-Time.
