The Penn State men’s volleyball team advanced to the NCAA Tournament by winning the EIVA Championship over Springfield on Saturday night. The win was the Nittany Lions’ 13th-straight EIVA Championship victory, which increased their overall total to 23. Penn State will host the national tournament, with the semifinals on Thursday and the final on Saturday.
Former Penn State tailback Evan Royster was taken in the NFL draft by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round on Saturday. As the 177th pick overall, Royster will have his work cut out for him to make the Redskins' roster. Royster graduated from Penn State as the Nittany Lions' all-time leading rusher with 3,932 yards.
Former Penn State offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski was taken 48th in the NFL Draft on Friday by the Oakland Raiders. Wisniewski will now try to follow up an illustrious four years at Penn State with a career in the NFL. At Oakland, he will have a chance to start right away due to the lack of depth on the Raiders' offensive line.

After a week break, Penn State will be back in action, hosting the EIVA Championship.
