With the exception of Thanksgiving, this past canning weekend was really the first time Penn State students got a chance to go out and see how people outside the State College bubble would react towards the Penn State community. From what some of us here at Onward State and our friends experienced, it seems like there has been a mixed reception.

Tonight President Erickson and seven other of Penn State’s highest ranking administrators will appear in front of an entirely student audience to answer questions in a conversation moderated by rockstar professors Sam Richards and Laurie Mulvey. We've got WPSU's broadcast ready to go.

As you may have heard, there will be a candlelight vigil on the steps of Old Main tonight at 9:30 to rally support for the victims of Jerry Sandusky’s abuse. This event was organized to show support for the abused children; it is our opportunity as students at Penn State to show the world that we understand the gravity of this situation. The world’s attention has not left Old Main, let us take this opportunity to show the world what it means to be a member of the Penn State community.
