This Wednesday, the battle for Mr. and Mrs. THON is on, but this year's pageant includes a new twist.
Rather than the ill-fitting suits and wrinkled collars that usually fill up 302 HUB every Wednesday night, the UPUA dropped the business from business casual and met for a special meeting called Committee of the Whole. COWs, as such meetings are aptly called, are used for UPUA to discuss various issued in a less structured, non-official way when there is no new business for the week.
The new healthcare legislation will directly affect all student employees at Penn State by limiting how many jobs they can have and how many hours a week they may work.
Hershey Medical Center has entered their own video into Medline's Pink Glove Dance competition, and they need your help to win! If they can get enough votes they'll receive $25,000 to donate towards a breast cancer charity of their choosing.
Lately, UPUA has reached a whole new level of crazy. Between the controversial and split vote on on Movin' On funding, $10 a piece pink elephant balloons, and almost disenfranchising the Greek seats, it has been an intense few weeks in 302 HUB. Luckily, for everyone's sanity, the assembly took a breather this Wednesday and only had one relatively easy vote on the new elections code.
