CNN and other media outlets are reporting that former FBI Director Louis Freeh, the university's investigator during the Sandusky Scandal, was hospitalized after a car accident.
Earlier tonight at the annual Be A Part From The Start, Television personality Lara Spencer, the co-host of Good Morning America on ABC, was named the 2014 Homecoming Grand Marshal. Spencer graduated in 1991 following a successful All-American diving career, graduating with a degree.
First-year student Jack Crean, 18, of Boalsburg was found dead at about 11 a.m. Sunday in the HUB Construction site, according to university spokesperson Lisa Powers. She confirmed that Crean either jumped or fell from the crane in the construction site. The incident is still under investigation at this time, according to Centre County Chief Deputy Coroner Judy Pleskonko.
