It's official. There's no way around it. As far as us Greeks are concerned, there is no State Patty's Day for us. IFC and Panhellenic have made it abundantly clear that they will not be tolerating any form of inebriated fun this weekend and have cruel and unusual punishments prepared should we try to defy them. So, what other options do we have this weekend? Let me list the ways we can enjoy our non-State Patty's Day weekend.
Today, we'd like to echo something that Dr. Dennis Shea (@GTWMA) has been saying. "You decide whether to build up or break down." As adults, we all have this choice. In the end, nothing a blog, an email, an RA, or a professor says can control your behavior. You have to do it. Being an adult comes with freedom, like the freedom to drink as much as you want. It also, however, comes with responsibility, like the responsibility to enhance the community you live in, to leave State College a better place than when you found it.
When one thinks of the type of emergency that an EMT would respond do, thoughts of a heart attack, stroke, or car accident come to mind, not alcohol conumption; however, that is exactly what led to the frightening phrase "No medic available." that was used over the past few editions of State Patty's Day.
Welp, THON 2012 is over. We raised a whole lot of money and it was a generally awesome weekend.

For those familiar with THON, you know that every year there are new kids who come to join in the fun of THON every year, a new batch of dancers every year and new THON organizations popping up to raise money and support families every year. But some things will never change. This is why we present to you the five people you will always see at THON.
