
ASA Entertainment, the hottest show in extreme sports, will be high-flying in the Bryce Jordan Center when the most popular BMX riders in the country take over the arena. The BJC will be transformed into a 195-foot-long course full of 25-foot wooden ramps and monster quarter-pipes. The top BMX pros, many of whom have experience at the X-Games, will be competing in a "big air" head-to-head competition on October 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Alpha Tau Omega is currently in court, having been charged with furnishing alcohol to Joe Dado the night of September 19, 2009. As we all know, Dado was found dead behind the Steidle building after a 36-hour search. The fraternity has pled not guilty to that charge, claiming that the party Dado and his friends attended was not an official ATΩ-sponsored event.

Update: WPVI is reporting that as of 3:30PM, the body of Saulius Kvaraciejus has been found in Pennypack Creek. Kvaraciejus drowned after falling off a pool float while rafting with two friends. Our original story is below.
A Penn State student, Saulius Kvaraciejus, has been reported missing in a Philadelphia waterway. According to philly.com, Kvaraciejus (along with two other men) was riding a blow-up pool float in Pennypack Creek. They went down a man-made waterfall, near Winchester Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard and Kvaraciejus and one other man fell into the water around 6:50 pm, police said.

As I have written about before, The Music Underground is taking City Lights Records’ place as THE record store to go to downtown (and with Webster's future uncertain, possibly the only record store). The Music Underground opened for the first time Arts Fest weekend to allow for a preview of what is to come.

This is my first Arts Fest. Shameful, but sadly true. I have heard a lot about Arts Fest over my time here at PSU and now am finally able to experience it to the fullest. Penn State women's volleyball star Megan Hodge has been lugging around a lot of hardware over the past few months. She started out by being named the AVCA Division 1 Women's Volleyball National Player of the Year and the Penn State Female Athlete of the Year. In the past month, she has also won the Suzy Favor Award (given to the Big Ten's top female performer) and the Honda-Broderick Cup, presented to the best female athlete in the NCAA. And on this coming Wednesday, she could have another honor to add to her already over-loaded trophy case.
