
The Smeal College of Business and the Strategic and Global Security Program will host retired general James Cartwright in the HUB Auditorium on Wednesday at 4:15. General Cartwright will deliver a speech about “Strategic Leadership Challenges in the 21st Century.”

Among the many student movements started through social media on Tuesday afternoon, one group of students called for people to gather at Joe Paterno's house to show support.
This isn't how it was supposed to end. I suppose that's only too obvious. Nobody could have ever predicted that it would be involvement in an alleged child-abuse cover up that finally put down Joe Paterno. But it's not a fitting end for a man who deserved so much more.

In the wake of the heinous charges against former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky and the subsequent perjury charges facing Athletic Director Tim Curley and Vice President for Business and Finance Gary Schultz, students are left frustrated, angry and let down by their university and its administration.

For several weeks, the big TV side of the first floor of the HUB has remained under the control of the Occupy Penn State movement. However, for the angry collective that wants all of their comfy chairs back, no longer fret, for the occupiers are leaving the HUB this Monday. No, they have not admitted defeat. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Occupy Penn State is turning up the burners and making the move to Old Main Lawn. And they want YOU!
