Former two-term United States Senator and current Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is hitting the campaign trail this week and has several events planned in Centre County on Tuesday. Santorum, who graduated from Penn State in 1980, is scheduled to appear at the Centre County Grange Fair early in the afternoon and will later hold a public meet-and-greet in the HUB-Robeson Center.

This past weekend on the lawn of the Business Building, the first-ever Kick Off the Fall Tailgate was held to introduce freshmen students to a number of student organizations, and their unifying value: sportsmanship. According to the event organizers, the tailgate was just the first in a year of event programming and other initiatives based around that same theme.
Dispatch was able to sell out concerts in Los Angeles, Boston, and New York, but the crowd Sunday night at the Bryce Jordan Center more closely resembled that for a men's basketball game, and not one against the Michigan States of the world, either.
