Go Go Gadjet Rocks THON

After almost two days of dancing, getting someone to "shake ya groove thing" isn't an easy task. But for local cover band, Go Go Gadjet, it appeared to be second nature. Playing crowd favorites like Usher and Taio Cruz, THON 2011 was alive with some impressive sing-alongs. I didn't know Penn State had that kind of pipes!

What’s In Dancer Mail?

Dancer Mail starts to pave the way into the home stretch of THON. For dancers, it's one of the most emotional events of the weekend, where friends and family send in their messages to help them through their remaining time on the dance floor. Dancers started receiving their mail at 2:46 this morning, between the pep rally and general Sunday festivities. Fashion is an essential part of THON culture, and this weekend I want to highlight some outfits I found particularly interesting. In the midst of all these crazy colors, a couple people still managed to shine. The bright colors maintain a cheerful atmosphere, while tube socks increase circulation. At THON, fashion isn't just aesthetically pleasing. It's functional too. Erin and Jeremy ended up wearing essentially the same outfit, and somehow it works for both of them. See for yourself!

Springfielders, What Is Your Profession?

“AWOO! AWOO! AWOO!” all of independent THON organization Springfield’s members shout in response to Joe Giordano’s question. This has become the battlecry of the organization, which has adopted a Spartan mascot of sorts. It’s a fitting shout, borrowed from the movie 300 and applied, somewhat fittingly, to an org that prides itself on being small.

Dancer Dan: He Speaks at Hour 27

It has been 27 hours since I stood up from the floor of the Bryce Jordan Center. My behind has not touched any surface since, with the exception of a toilet in the men's restroom in the Bryce Jordan Center (a Corner Room breakfast will do that to you).
