
The Penn State men's soccer team rebounded from a tough loss to Michigan to win both of their games this past week. Overcoming adversity was the theme, as the Nittany Lions battled tough weather conditions against Villanova on Wednesday and faced a first-half deficit against Michigan State on Sunday.

This past Sunday had attending, listening, and enlightening like the world has never seen before at TEDxPSU. Seriously, I was 100 miles away at the time and I was contemplating life and all its wonders. But how do those responsible for its creation feel it went? I had a friendly chat with TEDxPSU Communications Committee Chairman Mark Poblete to find out.

Because after a 50 year hiatus, bed bugs have returned. Only this time, they're a little more adventurous. Having traded bed sheets for backpacks and bedrooms for restaurants, bed bugs are dominating national news as they make appearances in major cities like New York City and Washington D.C., as well as smaller cities, like our dear ol' town of State College.

The Mu Lambda chapter remains under a suspension of operations from the Fraternitypending the completion of an investigation and review of the chapter by the universityand by the Fraternity’s Board of Directors. The Fraternity has encouraged the chapter and its members to cooperate with the investigation.

So I've ranted and raved about the current state of the music scene in Happy Valley, but no one has defended the fact that State College actually has a thriving assortment of venues and musicians. From local bands to superstars, both new and old, State College actually has some decent aspects.

What do Penn Staters love more than football? Penn State merchandise. I've bought a lot of useless crap in my life, but even I can't help but roll my eyes at the excessive amounts of Penn State stuff there out there.
