Eisenhower Parties Like It’s 2999

The beat was bumpin bumpin. The beat went boom boom. People were wearing glow sticks and hats made of balloons. Guys I didn’t know were giving me free stuff and a can of Spam was handing out tickets. There was a rock wall, Lady Gaga, and popcorn. I’m pretty sure I high-fived a clown at some point. Surprisingly, this actually wasn’t the worst drug trip ever experienced by man. No, it was Eisenhower’s annual Student Patio Party.

Career Day: An Unemployed Perspective

Well, I made it through my first career day experience alive and jobless (sorry mom). Recruiters from companies such as Lockheed Martin, Target, and Dick's Sporting Goods lined up their info booths and chatted up eager students on the brink of entering the real world.

Penn State Ranked #1…in Job Recruiting

According to a recent Wall Street Journal study, businesses are hiring more graduates from public universities than the Ivies and other small liberal arts school. At the number one spot for hires was ours truly, Penn State. Rounding out the top of the list was Texas A&M followed by the University of Illinois.

Reel Big Turnout

For what seemed to be an unusual choice of venue, Reel Big Fish played a packed show on Medlar Field at Lubrano Park last night. The concert held on the baseball field proved for a great outdoor venue that the Student Programming Association-sponsored event could still charge and control those coming in.

The Bryce Jordan Center tweeted yesterday that comedian Dane Cook will be gracing the stage of BJC on Wednesday, November 3rd.

Penn State Champs Go to White House

On Monday, the Penn State women's volleyball, men's fencing, and women's fencing teams were at the White House for a ceremony honoring NCAA National Champions.
