After I wrote last week -- mostly tongue-in-cheek -- about Penn State's archaic internet linking policy, I received a few emails from folks inside Old Main offering up their own favorite silly Penn State policies.
Penn State alumnus and superfan Bob Witt has outdone himself again this year. After winning over the internet (although probably not his neighbors) with this video of his Christmas light display synchronized to popular Penn State fight songs, Witt is back at it again this year with an even more impressive and Penn State-centered display.
Penn State's yearbook, La Vie, has documented snippets of student life in the Nittany Valley since 1889. Through its pages, we can get a brief glimpse of what life must've been like here. I was able to go through the La Vie archives and pull out a few meaningful pages that help us understand the storied history of the university.
Penn State students and community members alike will gather on Sunday to celebrate the sixth night of Chanukah by lighting the State College grand menorah. It's the thirteenth annual public menorah lighting ceremony, but the first to be held in front of Old Main.
