In front of a packed Rec Hall on Sunday afternoon, the top-ranked Penn State wrestling team shutout #37 Indiana 52-0, picking up 6 pins in the process.

Lady Lions Rout Georgetown as Lucas Drops BJC-Record 39 Points

The No. 10 Lady Lions crushed Georgetown 97-74 behind a record-setting performance by junior guard Maggie Lucas. Lucas went on an absolute tear in the first, tallying 20 points in the first 10 minutes and 26 by the half. Her 39 points on the game broke the BJC's single-game scoring record by either a men's or women's player, and tied the third-best scoring performance by any Penn State basketball player in history.

PSU Holds off Army In Second Half, Wins 78-70

This afternoon, Penn State held off a second half rally by Army to win 78-70. The Nittany Lions had four players reach double figures in scoring as they improved to 5-4 on the season.

Football Autograph Session to be Held Before Basketball Game Tomorrow

Football Saturdays at Beaver Stadium migh be over until next fall, but the 2012 senior class will be at the Bryce Jordan Center tomorrow afternoon for an autograph session before Penn State Basketball faces Army.

Women’s Volleyball Looks to Advance to Final Four

The Penn State Women's Volleyball team will play in West Lafayette, Indiana, on Friday and Saturday (if necessary) in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Penn State takes on Kentucky tomorrow at 5 p.m. If the Lions defeat Kentucky, they will play the winner of the late match between #10 Minnesota and #9 Purdue in the regional final.

Penn State Crushed by La Salle in Philadelphia

Playing at the historic Palestra in Philadelphia, Penn State fought and clawed for 40 minutes. The gritty effort wasn't enough to overcome a barrage of hot three-point shooting from La Salle however, as the Nittany Lions fell 82-57 in a tale of two halves.
