Frazier Tallies 1,000th Point in 72-55 Loss to No. 6 NC State

Playing in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off Tournament last night, Penn State Men's Basketball fell to No. 6 North Carolina State 72-55. Penn State guard Tim Frazier put up 23 points on 6-20 shooting -- incidentally surpassing the 1,000 career point mark in the process -- but the Nittany Lions were outgunned and outmatched against the Wolfpack, the tournament favorite and the highest-ranked team in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Penn State Faces Off With NC State in Puerto Rico

The most challenging portion of Penn State's non-conference schedule begins today as the Lions face off with the No. 6 ranked North Carolina State Wolfpack in the sixth annual Puerto Rico Tip-Off. The game will be televised live on ESPN2 at 5 p.m. from the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Lady Lions Snap Aggies Streak in 63-58 Win

Although they were plagued with fouls and dominating runs by the Aggies, the Lady Lions fought back and defeated their first non-conference, ranked opponent on the road since December 2001.

Tim Frazier Named To Naismith Award Watch List

Penn State senior guard Tim Frazier, who already was named preseason All-Big Ten, added another honor as he was named to the prestigious Naismith Award Early Season Watch List by the Atlanta Tipoff Club, placing him among the top players in the nation.
