The group responsible for the graffiti previously vandalized property in the borough and Bellefonte this year.
The establishment is named after Martinez's grandmother, Juana, who gave her "secret" Venezuelan recipes and taught her to cook.
"Ultimately, this isn't about me and what I want to do in the borough. It's about what the borough needs me to do for them."
The seasonal walkway would support outdoor dining at Pickle’s during warm-weather months while improving pedestrian access along South Allen Street.
“I hope to be part of the solution in recovering our economy and our mental state. It’s going to take a while for us to be a more open, welcoming community, and I hope to be part of the solution for that as well.”
The protest will start at 6 p.m. at the Allen Street Gates.
