
Having never been to an IHOP before, I awaited it's arrival to dear old State College with apprehension and excitement. After push back upon push back it seemed like we were doomed to be IHOP-less forever. But then suddenly, and without warning, "poof". It appeared.

According to design plans, the first and second floors, designated for retail and commerical space, will have large glass windows. There will be an open courtyard on the third floor of the building. The next seven floors will be for student housing, with non-student housing planned for the next two floors. The 12th floor will host non-student housing and event space. The building will also have a multi-level internal parking garage.

Despite a full-court press by the Office of Student Affairs and VP Damon Sims, it's looking more and more like downtown tavern owners will not reach a joint agreement to close down all bars. UPUA Vice President Brenden Dooley said that, after meeting with several downtown tavern owners, it appears that at least some bars will remain open on State Patty's Day March 1.

State College police expect to file charges against multiple Penn State students in connection with the two-story fall of a 19-year-old student.
The victim fell roughly 16-feet from a balcony at The Palmerton early Sunday morning. Police said Monday authorities expect to charge multiple students with furnishing alcohol to minors, including the victim.

Fresh Harvest Kafé has officially closed. Located at 421 East Beaver Ave., nestled between Center Court and University Towers, it was in prime location in the heart of downtown State College restaurants.
