Former Penn State All-American offensive and defensive end Dave Robinson was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend, the sixth Penn Stater to ever attain that status. Robinson, a 1962 All-American for Rip Engle's Nittany Lions, was a three-year letterwinner at Penn State. Joe Paterno was also an assistant coach that year. Robinson was drafted in the first round (14th overall) in the 1963 NFL draft and enjoyed a 12-year career as a linebacker for the Packers and the Redskins.

Eric Shrive, who has raised over $70,000 for Lift for Life over his first four years at Penn State, has been named Rare Disease Champion by Uplifting Athletes.

Penn State will not have a chance to get revenge against Virginia during the 2013 season as the Cavaliers have decided not to make the September 14th trip to Beaver Stadium, instead opting for a home game against the Oregon Ducks.

It's no secret that Michael Mauti wants to become an NFL linebacker. But how bad does he want it? According to NFL Network's (and Penn State graduate) Kimberly Jones, Mauti sent handwritten notes to all 32 NFL general managers explaining how much football means to him. According to Jones, "they're impressed."
