Let me just get one out of the way first: the Blue-White game is potentially the most over-hyped event in Penn State athletics. Every year, I shake off my hangover and make the walk up to Beaver Stadium. And every year, I am left asking myself why.
Looking to make something happen right away, Matt McGloin dropped back and aired a ball down the left sideline in the direction of Allen Robinson. Floating through the air, the pass looked good before hitting the ground a few yards ahead of Robinson as he couldn't quite catch up to it. That right there was the first play of the Blue-White game and went on to symbolize the game as a whole.
