Both players are suspended to deal with a "personal matter," per a Penn State Athletics spokesperson.
Kemajou is ranked as the 12th-best player in Maryland, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Both Carter and Wormley had already earned preseason recognition.
Penn Stater and Duzansky's predecessor Chris Stoll last won the award in 2022.
The Maxwell Award is given annually to the best player in college football.
