Report: Curtis Jacobs Claimed By New England Patriots Off Waivers

Former Penn State football linebacker Curtis Jacobs has been claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Jacobs was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs a day earlier.

Jacobs played for Penn State from 2020-23 and recorded 61 total tackles, seven for a loss, three sacks, and an interception. In his four years with the Nittany Lions, Jacobs totaled 170 tackles, 24 for a loss, 9.5 sacks, five pass breakups, one forced fumble, two interceptions, and a touchdown in 45 games.

Jacobs signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent after the 2023 NFL Draft but failed to make the Chiefs’ 53-man roster on Tuesday.
